Religious Practices/ Traditional Holidays

In Ancient Greece, they didn't use napkins. They would wipe their mouths with a piece of bread, and then feed it to the dogs.

Greek food is an important element of every type of celebration, from births, weddings, and funerals to major holidays like Christmas and Easter..

Greek Christmas and New Year's Foods:

Keftethes - Greek Meatballs

Kolokithokeftethes - Zucchini Fritters (vegetarian meat balls)

Greek Easter:

Lenten Chocolate Cake

Lagana - Clean Monday Bread - eaten only once a year
